Showtime Ramon is the new “Rap Superstar”

Hard-working underground emcee Showtime Ramon hasn't rested since he started releasing music in 2011 and with over 50 visuals and a myriad of mixtapes under his belt, he is slowly building his reputation and gaining ground in the underground scene. His latest release "Rap Superstar" is a heartfelt look inside the mind of the rising artist who has his eyes on the prize but realizes that everyone else is not seeing it.

The track commences with a wrestling announcement sample before the dark and cinematic backdrop provided by Flygodvici takes over. As usual, Showtime Ramon lunges forward with the aim to catch the ears and mind in the first few seconds with WWE references and off-kilter rhymes. Lines like "I'm the total package like Lex Luger on nitro" and "I'm breaking necks like stone cold, Owen Hart" have double meanings and will ring bells in the minds of WWE fans. Overall, Showtime Ramon's unassuming and somewhat nonchalant flow is likeable and entertaining and sure gets the job done.
