Acclaimed singer/songwriter, comedian and actor John Roberts has just unveiled his latest single and accompanying music video. Called "Danger", the song follows his 2022 releases "Take Me Dancin'" and "Good Old Days".
With "Danger", John Roberts crafts an intoxicating 80's inspired synth pop banger all about the exhilarating yet nerve wracking experience of falling in lust. The song also chronicles the feeling of risk and uncertainty when being a rebel and going your own way. Lyrics include, "You could be with me / Some other time / I am not guilty / Of your crime / There is so much / It's hard to define / Feels like it could be danger." Sonically, "Danger" highlights otherworldly synths, infectious melodies and a decadent fusion of pop, rock and electronic for a must listen. The music video is a damn good time complete with a racing Corvette, a search and rescue story, and nostalgic characters making for a comedic short film that is the perfect accompaniment.
John Roberts is a multi-talented artist with a career in TV, music and comedy. He is well known as the charismatic voice of Linda Belcher from Bob's Burgers and his musical collaborations with well known artists including Debbie Harry and Beth Ditto. With "Danger", he teamed up with acclaimed producer Junior Sanchez. With more music to come, we can't wait to hear what is next from this prolific singer/songwriter.
