Halifax-hailing indie-folk act Braden Lam showcases his blend of honest song writing and his modern indie musicality on his latest EP Strange Paradise. Offering up a vivid exploration of a relationship in its entirety, the EP is delicate with touches of darkness as it brings lived experiences together with fictional narratives for an immersive sonic journey.

Built on honeyed vocals over sumptuous melodies and introspective lyrical prowess, the EP takes us through from the early rose-tinged infatuation to the bittersweet acceptance that a precious love is over.

Wrapped in comfort as well as experimental nudges, the Canadian folk and rock-laden EP digs out the deepest feelings within us, that swings from wild abandon and poignant despair to touches of hope – an emotive pendulum best captured in most recent single “Second Wind,” which pushes us towards a new beginning, past the peaks and valleys of our current life.

Having earned a reputation as an emerging song writing sensation, Lam’s crafts expansive but intimate sonic world for us to loses ourselves in.
