Leicester rap artist Trillary Banks first caught our attention a few years ago with her hard-hitting visuals "Killi" but she has been putting in work since her 2017 debut "Come over mi yard". With a distinct style that blends hip-hop and dancehall in a seamless manner, Trillary returns to the forefront with her new single "Bruce Lee". As the title suggests, it is a pure showcase of bravado, encased with Trillary's unique patois-infected flow and unapologetic lyrics. Once again, she teams up with longtime collaborator Maschine man Tim who cooks up this gritty flute-laden bass-heavy drill soundscape that is tailor-made for Trillary's energetic performance.
The accompanying visuals also accentuate the track with its blend of performance shots of Trillary with her squad running the streets and also capturing some shots in the gym. We see Trillary in both streetwear and a karate gi as she exudes an unfiltered demeanour while fully expressing herself.
Trillary Banks has 1 full-length project vote 4 Trillary and an EP Dark Horse with a slew of singles under her belt.
