Kentucky artist E The Profit has returned with a new single called "S.M.P.", produced by Rocco Roy. E and Rocco have yet again outdone themselves. Building off a beautifully chaotic 2022, “S.M.P.” is a streetwise banger about staying focused and stacking the bread. Through the billowing bass and the crisp, assured cadence, confidence and precision emanates from "S.M.P.". E and Roc have utilized a very Southern set of percussion for a good portion of their recent collabs. With E basking in his KY glory, it’s only right to lean into the snares and bass of yesteryear. From the 2k23 Soundtrack with their hit “Bluegrass” and beyond, the duo seem to have been building hefty momentum, and "S.M.P." adds fuel to the fire with its hard-hitting sound.
Heavy, rolling bass brings in a classic southern influence, turning up the track's intensity and providing a suitably cathartic groove for E's potent flows. Locked in by bouncy, textural drums and underscored by flourishes of ominous keys, he shines as an emcee, captivating the listener's attention with his sharp delivery and charismatic mic presence.
"S.M.P." continues E's prolific run into 2023, providing a southern hip-hop banger for the spring, hot off the heels of his collaboration with Swishahouse's Michael 500 Watts.
