Grammy award-winning Brasstracks have just released the second single off of the upcoming, highly anticipated album. “Anesthesia” features Mandy Lee, who you probably know from MisterWives, whose vocals add a vibrancy to the track, as they soar atop the energetic release.
Described as a “hip-hop-jazz-big-band” there are no limits to what Brasstracks does and the new single is demonstrative of just that. “Anesthesia” is a colorful mix of the beloved brassy sound, with dance worthy beats and animated, electronic melodies.
Despite the song emanating the ultimate feel-good atmosphere, the new single actually narrates the negative thoughts towards an arch enemy, who annoyingly seems to be one step ahead in life.
Brasstracks, which consists of New Yorker Ivan Jackson, are known for their collaborative approach and in the past have worked with the likes of Miley Cyrus, Mark Ronson, Anderson .Paak, Khalid, Mac Miller, and BTS. We cannot wait to see who else may feature on the upcoming album.
