Connecticut artist Jake Huffman has created his own sonic universe with his latest single “Babe.” Having admitted to diving into a rabbit hole of songs exploring the indie pop, rock and funk genres, Huffman ended up creating a track which is totally unique, transporting listeners to his own world.
Huffman shares, “Something about the bass lines and the hard hitting syncopation really hit the spot. I wanted to capture that vibe and put my own spin on the genre. What's cool and different about this track is how haunted and dark it feels. I think I captured an 80s sci-fi horror mixed into a twisted fantasy like day dream.”
“Babe” shines light on the need for communication within a relationship. Desperately trying to figure out what the other person is feeling and wondering what the thoughts are running through their mind. Huffman sings, “I say please babe, what you want, if you tell me what you need I’ll tell you if it's hard.” Off of his upcoming EP, we’re excited to hear what else Huffman has to offer.
