Recorded at the Black Box Studio, an all-analog studio that perfectly suited the sound aesthetics of Dead Chic, the album is a refreshing departure from the quantized loops and rigid drum samples that dominate today's music scene. There are emphatic, western style anthems such as the lead single "You Got It" and moody, blues-rich tracks such "Good God" and "El Malacon".
