Emerging act VOSH unveil debut album Vessel alongside a music video for single “Bleed As One.” The 12-track project which spans a wide range of sonic influences manages to balance explosive bursts of energy with icy goth touches.
Where “Bleed As One,” showcases grittier and sinister undertones of their musicality with glitchy sonics and haunting yet fierce vocals, the album manages to flip into dreamy and ethereal sensibilities in other parts showcasing a genre-blended production that move seamlessly through goth, dream pop, indie and elements of traditional pop music.
Led by the powerful and magnetic voice of vocalist and lyricist Josephine Olivia, VOSH merges intense and dramatic soundscapes with emotive song writing. Eerie and dark yet forceful anthemic, the album encapsulates the sonic versatility which forms the centre of VOSH’s artistry.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of Bauhaus and Ministry to Sisters of Mercy to Killing Joke and Nine Inch Nails, this rising DC act is carving quite the impressive space for themselves in the alt rock/darkwave scene.
