Rising singer and songwriter Baby Rose made a huge splash in the industry with her 2019 debut EP To Myself and has since gone on to release a slew of singles and high conceptual visuals that showcase her unique style. after dropping the Smino-assisted song "I Won't Tell" last month, Baby Rose returns with the visuals for her single “Stop The Bleeding” taken from the upcoming album Through and Through, out April 28th on Secretly Canadian.
"Stop The Bleeding" is a sombre ballad that explores pain, vulnerability and love in her own fashion. Over a rich piano-string arrangement, Baby Rose delivers a stunning vocal performance reminiscent of greats like Nina Simone, as a matter of fact, the cadence and tone she employs on the track sound eerily similar to the aforementioned singer.
Her vocals slowly cascade the solemn and melancholic backdrop and rise as the track progresses and as she dives deeper into her pain. Lines like "Pain is at my window/The storm is at my door/ Your sorry is my weakness/Leaves me wanting more" help put things in perspective as she tries to reconcile emotional pain with a fleeting partner.
The accompanying visual continues Baby Rose's cinematic visual style that takes elements from retro films and the use of distinct and expressive storyboarding which adds an extra layer to the theme of the song.
