Arkansas based expansive alt pop duo joan have just shared their latest single off of their highly anticipated upcoming album superglue out April 19th via Photo Finish Records. Called 'loner', the track features joan's signature infectious melodies for a sing-a-long worthy good time.

With "loner", the twosome capture the difficult feelings of being an outsider and feeling like the odd person out. This autobiographical single captured a time when the duo was in high school and felt like they didn't necessarily connect with the majority of their classmates. "loner" also captures the essence of true connection and how important it is when you find those that you relate to. Lyrics including, "something in the air / just told me / you understand me / I'm just a loner / hope you don't mind" show that heartwarming feeling of deep understanding between two people. Sonically, 'loner' is a colorful rock-dipped pop tune full of vivacious melodies and spirited reverb-drenched guitars. joan has a unique ability to fortel important and relatable narratives in commercially appealing pop bangers.

joan is members Alan Benjamin Thomas and Steven Rutherfordknown and are known for creating sweeping left of center pop music from their bedrooms in Arkansas. Friends for years, the duo have garnered a welcoming and unique fanbase all around the world. With an upcoming US tour, joan is ready to reach even more listeners.
