J. Matthews has just released his debut indie pop EP, Courage, featuring four songs that showcase his growth and journey to become a more confident version of himself. The EP features songs titled "Courage for Fools," "Wanderlust," "For You," and "Nothing to Fear" that touch on the fears and insecurities Matthews had during his college years.

Through the EP, J. Matthews hopes to inspire listeners to stay the course and overcome their fears. He believes that with the courage to start a journey, one will eventually have "nothing to fear" by the end.

The opening track, "Courage for Fools," is about fearing rejection and making the first move. It chronicles Matthews' first year of college, where he let the fear of rejection keep him from pursuing the girl he liked. The following tracks, "Wanderlust" and "For You," touch on the fear of unexpectedly missing out and falling in love.

The EP closes with the track "Nothing to Fear," where Matthews gains perspective on his past fears and realizes they no longer hold the same weight. His reflection inspired this track after returning home from college and seeing how much he had grown and progressed.

J. Matthews' 'Courage' EP is a poignant and relatable work encouraging listeners to push past their fears and stay committed to their journey. The EP is now available on all major streaming platforms.
