New York City-based musician YAHYA has just released his latest EP, Made It Out Of Purgatory. The EP tells Yahya's story of escaping the destructive cycles that have kept him trapped for so long.
Made It Out Of Purgatory opens with "LOV3FLY," a powerful track that marks the culmination of Yahya's purgatory process. It ends with "Every Night," a self-produced track where the story begins.
In between these two tracks are three other songs that see Yahya trying to break free from the destructive patterns of his life. 'Reminisce' is a vibrant track that encourages listeners to remember the beautiful parts of their past while acknowledging and healing from the bad parts. "Drowning In Your Love" is a trap-infused song that explores the suffocating feeling of masking one's true feelings with only positive memories. "Fall For You" is a melodic trap offering that sees Yahya accepting that he must leave behind his "positive memories" to change his life for the better truly.
