Cece Vee presents a "Funeral for the World" [Visualizer]

South Africa-based alternative-pop artist Cece Vee follows her tremendous 2020 outing with a brand new record titled "Funeral for the World". The single continues her penchant for dark, cinematic pop records and insightful songwriting that dwell on real-time issues such as social-political sanitation, wokeness and the many aspects of modern life where the masses and the elites battle for survival.  "Funeral for the World"  presents an ominous and gloomy glimpse into the current world we live in where capitalism reigns supreme while apathy slowly creeps in as we get desensitized to tragedy due to the over-exposure to social media. The production sets the tone with the moody and deeply melancholic aesthetic while Cece's laidback vocals slowly flow over it with unapologetic lyrics such as

"And it really is a curse to have sight (Have sight)
I wish my third eye was blind

To the wreckage left behind
By the money men"

The record surely hits the soul with harsh truths but only a tint of hope as she sheds light on how we could find our own salvation in this mess that we have made. She acknowledges that some will choose it over waking up to reality so in the end, it's up to each individual to decide his or her fate.
