Canadian pop artist Xana has just dropped her new single “Bad Bandit.” The Western inspired track gives a nod to the songwriters love of country music, as she embellishes her infectious pop sound with splashes of country twang.
Venturing down a different path to her usual repertoire, Xana shares, “One of the first things I wrote was the first verse “Like Clyde and Bonnie, I want you on my body, bandits who aren’t sorry, a money hungry party” and that’s what sent us down this old western character pop-rock rabbit-hole. It was a song we got to have a lot of fun making.”
Known for creating music which hone in on topics ranging from female empowerment, LGBTQ+ romance and sex positivity, “Bad Bandit” sees Xana opening up her inner-badass, as she radiates with confidence and sass. The fiery single roars with anthemic energy as the foot-stomping, throbbing beat and crashing percussion provide the perfect backdrop for Xana’s fierce vocals.
