Chicago-based Galaxy Francis is a multi-talented artist, who identifies as a Rap&B artist. Francis can rap, sing, and produce with ease, drawing inspirations that range from Missy Elliot to Frank Ocean and even Future. Kicking off his career with "INTJ" in 2022, he's back at it again with a horror-movie-inspired mix of melody and flow.
"The Shining" was inspired by – you guessed it, The Shining. While re-watching the classic film, Galaxy Francis was struck with a hook idea. That simple hook idea later went on to become his latest single, and a collaboration with Jay Wood. The track is heavily influenced by the snaps, clicks, and claps in the background, mixing with soft melodies to create the perfect environment for the listener. Not to mention the bars, or the impressive mix and master. To describe "The Shining" would do it an injustice, but you can listen on Spotify or Apple Music to judge for yourself.
