Samil and Grand Rapids, Michigan-based LoudChief's (aka A1) are on a roll as they deliver this new release "Play Your Role", which serves as the fourth single from their collaborative EP. The record is a superb follow-up but with a little switch as the duo opts for a chilled, reflective aesthetic. The production is made up of soulful and solemn pads, and airy textures laced over a punchy drum break which is complemented by LoudChief's introspective lyrics that dwell on having integrity and not being moved by the craziness around you. The track is just one verse long over a laid-back hook to match and listeners can just enjoy the Lofi-Esque instrumental that plays for a substantial amount of time.
