UK emcees MOAN and DanimaL return as a duo for 2023 with the visuals of their new collaboration titled "Penny For Your Thoughts". The duo pulls no punches on this one as they weave in a plethora of topics ranging from the current economic downpour, cancel culture and an overall view of the current state of the modern world.
Bolstered by the menacing and hard-hitting soundscape provided by MACI, we get to hear the rappers go back to back as they pour their frustrations on wax with no restraints. MOAN sets it off with his distinct gruff flow and reflective lyrics followed by DanimaL's animated and boisterous performance. The chemistry between them is undeniable and they both give a nuanced take on the topics from their unique perspectives.
The visual continues the same style they used in their previous release "Trainlines" and we see them showing their stomping grounds. It's a nice blend of performance shots and different shots of different parts of the city also make it quite engaging and different from most rap videos.
