House music royalty The Magician is known for being a founding member of the iconic nu-disco and Balearic house duo Aeroplane. His chart-topping remixes such as the multi-platinum remix of Lykke Li's 'I Follow Rivers' propelled him to the forefront as a pioneer of Balearic house while his live shows distinguished him from the pack with crowd-entrancing mixes.
Recently signed to Sony Music, The Magician is on a new venture and kicks off the year with the single "Differences" which comes with an exciting video as well. The record sees him collaborating with fellow producer The Aston Shuffle and singer/songwriter Remy. The result is a nostalgia-inducing dance tune ripe with a memorable hook and dance floor-filling groove all underpinned by Remy's distinct vocals. Both producers sure bring their A-game with this smooth arrangement that screams Coachella or Piknik Electronik and once you hit the play button, it would be almost impossible to stop dancing. The visuals are brilliant as well and pay homage to the late 90s/early 2000s videos with a simple formula and style that keeps viewers enthralled. We follow two couples who are on a date and then transition to a well-crafted choreography between the duo across different spots in the city. It's definitely not just a random mix of scenes but rather a cohesive love story portrayed by dance moves showing how the very thing that makes us different is what unites us.
