Calgary, Canada-based artist KAYAM has shared a new single called "Try Again". Like KAYAM's Tanzanian, Kenyan, Indian, and British family history, the 20-year-old singer and songwriter's music traverses a multitude of genres, including various forms of pop, hip-hop, and R&B. After building momentum through a series of engaging singles such as "Paralyzed" and "This and That", the young artist received co-signs from the likes of Ali Gatie and Giveon, and performed experience alongside OVO's Roy Woods, and Bryce Vine at the Calgary Stampede. His latest single "Try Again" is a lush pop offering with a glowing sound and sharp, focused songwriting that discusses the trials and tribulations within a tumultuous early relationship.

"Try Again" contains atmospheric, emotive pop instrumentation centred around expansive keys drifting atop glittering backing sample layers. As a sturdy, energizing drum line and infectious bass drop in beneath to moor the track, KAYAM enters with smooth, airy vocals that demonstrate his focus as a songwriter as well as his range. He delivers an effortless yet emotive performance that culminates in a memorable hook, giving "Try Again" added replay value. Discussing the pains and ups and downs that come with a first love, "Try Again" is a relatable track that details an early relationship that ended up not panning out.

Of the single, KAYAM says, "although emotions fade, memories never do. "Try Again" captured this phenomenon for me, and I hope it helps others deal with the pain of missing someone who could have been the one in another life."

The latest from KAYAM, "Try Again" presents a lush, glowing pop offering that makes for a refreshing start to 2023 for the prolific Calgary artist.
