Kristina Yordanova and Denny Popov are the names behind Eastern-European experimental-pop duo Lunikk.

A formidable partnership, beatmaker Denny and vocalist Kristina draw inspiration from artists such as Robert Johnson, Son House, Pink Floyd and Lorde among others, with their moniker deriving from the Bulgarian word meaning "Moon". The pair released their brand-new track 'Violet Hour' on January 20th via Cleopatra Records, accompanied by a vibrant and trippy music video.

The track blends softly-delivered vocal lines with atmospheric production, pulling from futuristic sounds and pounding, radio-ready rhythms. The gently, reverberating yet explosive chorus fuses melancholy melodies with the euphoric and the ethereal, guaranteeing an ear-wormer to stay with you long after the track is over.

Talking more about the track, the duo share:

“Violet Hour is for people who like to stay in their melancholy for longer sometimes because it brings them peace and comfort.”

Working out of their self-built studio, Lunikk have become steady risers in their native Bulgaria and beyond, something which is destined to continue into the new year.
