With influences from Bonnie Raitt, Willie Nelson, and Emmylou Harris, LA's Regina Ferguson got into music at a young age – wanting to pursue it full-time. Ferguson's style is calm and collected, an alternative sound with hints of country. Starting out with bar gigs and as a wedding singer in Charleston, South Carolina, Ferguson moved to LA in 2018 where she played her first show at Hotel Cafe.
"Two Reasons" is the second single from her upcoming project, and will be on all streaming platforms on January 13, 2023. Teaming up with Griffin Goldsmith (drums), Aaron Embry (piano), Brett Simons (bass), and Ben Peeler (pedal steel), Regina Ferguson dives into lyrics inspired by her experiences with having to let someone go. The song has a laid-back, light-hearted energy – although the topic is far from it – but ultimately what Ferguson sings about happens to the best of us, and is a topic we can probably all relate to at times.
Ferguson's debut album is set to release in April 2023. Titled "Fortune", the project was recorded at Infinite Spin Studio in LA with Matt Linesch. The music video for "Two Reasons" will also release the same day as the track, and was shot on film by Regina Ferguson and Emmanuelle Pickett. The filming locations for the video were split between an Airstream in Topanga, Joshua Tree, and Costa Rica.
