Amè has enlisted the help of music producer and singer Paul Couture for her latest single "Me & Somebody's Son". The new dance pop meets R&B track is the debut for this up-and-coming singer-songwriter.
With "Me & Somebody's Son", Amè writes a song that is all about being single and the constant dating and crazy stories that can go along with that. Lyrics including, "Me and somebody son / Spending the night / Weekend fights
/ On to the next one," show the temporary connections that often happen when single. People can go on many dates before they find someone they truly connect with and sometimes it feels like the experiences all blend together. Sonically, "Me & Somebody's Son" features crisp beats, thumping basslines and Amè's captivating soulful vocals. A soaring chorus full of relatability draws the listener into this intoxicating blend of R&B, electronic and pop. The accompanying visuals show the many sides of daily life with Amè spending time in the office where she works to a club at night dancing.
Amè grew up in a small town in central Pennsylvania and was adopted by two pastors. Her experience being the only black girl in town and the often bias she endured from that, helped fuel her musical creativity. Now based in NYC, Amè has begun her musical journey and "Me & Somebody's Son" is a welcome debut from this aspiring artist.
