HoodTrophy Bino is a Los Angeles based artist known for his contemplative and impactful rap anthems that dwell on his experiences witnessing gang violence, growing up in the projects, and using music to transform his life. His new release “Wake Em Up” is all about shifting gears, taking control of one's own life, and transforming negative beliefs into positive outcomes. HoodTrophy Bino joins hip-hop sensation K Shiday on the track for a dreamy, dynamic rap collaboration that leaves listeners feeling empowered.

“Wake Em Up” is a flurry of energetic performance as K Shiday and Bino bounce off each other’s vivacious delivery and confident cadence. The backtrack of the single is a melancholy and muted piano arrangement that creates deep cut contrast with the explosive vocals at the forefront of the song. When reflecting on his writing process, Bino admitted, “You can become woke about your life – how you want it to be, instead of how it keeps crashing out of control.” K.Shiday and Bino share their struggles through a poised narrative and offer insight on how they used music and mindset to change their reality. “Wake Em Up” is a thought provoking and lucid rap single from two transcendent storytellers who meet each other's energy for a seamless collaboration.

HoodTrophy Bino got his start in music after meeting Soulja Boy during a chance encounter in jail. After he was released, Bino was signed with his label Stacks On Deck Money Gang (S.O.D.M.G.) where he’s been making music ever since.
