After dropping the bi-lingual posse cut "Rebel Loop" with New England-based, Colombia-born MCs, Tony P, Geko Rbn and Json7, Providence artist Lord Willin returns with a new visual for his single "This Is Revenge".
Once again he teams up with longtime collaborator Redd Rebel who gifts him with a gritty beat made up of eerie synth strings and crunchy drum grooves and subtle basslines to boot. Armed with his distinct gruff vocals and off-beat rhyme schemes, the rapper once again displays his prowess with lines like "Pink panthers Montenegro with Serbia hot in the items in the street that they stole from suburbia/But singers a box matches/ Matches the plan hatches, the best criminals, in 50 years, the law catches". He strays from the usual and even packs a vivid verbal threat in the chorus section.
The visuals are a simple mix of performance shots of Lord Willin with his squad doing what they do best but it's also intertwined with brooding motifs and dark set pieces with seamless transitions.
"This Is Revenge", produced by Redd Rebel, is the first single off Feed The Dogs Vol.1. The project is the first installment in a series of previously unreleased collaborations with other rappers and producers from all over the world.
