Lydia Oliver has released her latest single “Million” which demonstrates a variety of different feelings stemming from contentment. Released via Kin Records, the new single is a gentle three-and-a-half minute track of subtle piano chords, strings and the calming voice from Lydia Oliver. “Million” demonstrates what Oliver is capable of – creating easy-listening music for the cold Autumn and winter season ahead.
The single comes following her collaboration with REUNIØN on their latest single on the 2nd of September. Speaking on the release of "Million" and the inspirations behind it, Lydia writes “I wrote Million as a kind of love letter to a boy. Some songs take weeks of tweaking and editing to finish but with this one, I had written the entire song from start to finish in a matter of minutes. I was sitting cross-legged on the floor with my guitar in my hands and my head was full of him, so I played a few chords and the words just came out by themselves. Now that Eliot has added his beautiful take on production, I love listening to it … it’s like hearing my daydreams played back to me.”
"Million" is a track that's full of charm and songwriting guile from an exciting new UK Talent. There's a distinct and intimate quality to her vocal that's hard to compare to other singers, but it certainly forces a smile.
"Million" by Lydia Oliver is out now on all streaming platforms.
