B. Cool-Aid mark triumphant return with "COO" & "usedtoo" [Video]

After a three-year hiatus of keeping busy in their own respected lanes, the dynamic duo comes together again to usher in a new era with a new sound in "COO" & "usedtoo."

B. Cool-Aid is the collaborative efforts of Birmingham's preposterous poet Pink Siifu and Long Beach's benign beatmaker Ahlwee.

Since their 2019 collaboration Syrup, it's safe to say that the two have been keeping busy. Siifu, with his ever-expanding catalog and feature pool, has become a household name in the underground rap scene garnering a stern arsenal of albums that make the top 100 lists and landmark collaboration albums such as 2020s Flysifus with Fly Anakin and this year's Real Bad Flights with Real Bad Man.

Ahlwee has proven to be in a league of his own since the previous collaboration. With two beat tapes circulating underground spaces just this year, his 2020 homage to the "Final Fantasy" franchise, VII set the bar for creative standards that all producers should aim for at the start of the decade.

"COO" & "usedto" bring the same refreshing vibes that fans of the two can expect, only bringing two parallel creative sides to jazz-influenced, hip-hop production.

There's an unspoken chemistry between the two. A magnetic force that brings the best out of one another. That same level of creative synergy is mirrored by the two tracks. They work the best side by side.

"COO" is a reintroduction to the two's jazzy, moody style. An intro of sorts to a storybook where Siifus lyrical performance sneaks up from the shadows, carried by the calm yet daunting sound of the percussions.

There's a tight energy fleshed out with a transition buried in the outro only to be reborn into a completely new yet reminiscent beat on "usedto". The instrumental is ethereal and demonstrates the sonically layered and beautiful capabilities of jazz hop production.

It's a sound that perfectly carries Siifus's vocals to deliver a performance that demonstrates the love and creative power in friendship.
