Aqyila mixes pain and pop in her new candid single, “OH!” Since her signing to Sony Music, the Canadian songstress has been working tirelessly on her debut EP. The JUNO-nominated songwriter is aiming to deliver a project that brings out the range of her artistry, and she hasn’t disappointed thus far. Following up on her previous dancehall-inspired single “Pressure”, her latest offering is a lot more introspective and vulnerable. Aqyila explains the song as an ode to self-love amidst episodes of heartbreak and bad relationships.

This is a ‘taking back your power’ and realizing you can ‘see through the facade’ type of energy. It's a wake-up call, letting the listener know that if you or someone you know is fed up with how they are being treated, it's time to leave.

The track was able to come together with the songstress working alongside songwriter Trey Campbell and producer Phinisey.  On top of massive synths and some slow-building drums, Aqyila‘s vocal range becomes the star of the show and takes the song to the next level. With her latest release, the singer shows signs of a promising debut project on the horizon soon.
