Los Angeles-based four-piece Not From England have just shared their latest garage rock single "Red Light" off of their newly released album Guest House. The twelve-track album is the debut full-length from this gritty rock band.
"Red Light" was recorded in a one-bedroom in Culver City California and was self-produced and engineered by the band and mixed/mastered by FIDLAR’s Max Kuehn. The theme of self-reflection permeates throughout the album with "Red Light" which also discusses dealing with life changes and the struggle to find connection. Lyrics including "It's taking my whole life / Taking my whole life /So I can see you again," show the hardships in losing touch with someone who is important to you. The deeply existential narrative is packaged in an upbeat rock tune complete with post-punk-inspired vocals, cathartic guitar riffs and driving bass. Not From England have managed to create a rock song that is infectious and thought-provoking.
Not From England is composed of vocalists and multi-instrumentalist members Cass, Leo, DeRon and Beckett. All teenagers, the four-piece began releasing music in 2018 and since then have found success with sold-out shows throughout California.
