Yaz León shares new single “DUNYA”

West-London-born singer-songwriter and producer Yaz León shares her new single "DUNYA". The record is an eclectic and experimental R&B tune that explores self-doubts, pain, and the arduous journey of self-discovery from her own unique viewpoint. The production is dark and brooding and the drums have a half-step bounce that works perfectly with her airy melodic runs and layered harmonies that weave seamlessly over the ebb and flow of the soundscape laid before her. Exploring the dark side often neglected by most, Yaz digs deep to excavate the pain felt by the voiceless and give them a space to be heard.

"DUNYA" is taken from her debut EP entitled It’s Only Takeout Ma. Written and produced by Yaz León herself, with additional production from Ess West, and live instrumentation from Luke Bachuss, Seun Folayan, Jack Oliver, and Starkey the Messenger, the 6-track EP sees the Spanish Iraqi native exploring her familial and romantic relationships, while also having conversations with herself about these emotional ties.
