PsychoYP returns with 'YPSZN3'

After starting off the year with 2 one-off singles and another hard-hitting jam "IC3" featuring UK Grime act Backroad Gee, Nigerian rap star PsychoYP returns with his full-length project entitled  YPSZN3. The 15-track body of work serves as the 3rd entry in his YPSZN music series and sees him collaborating with names like the aforementioned Backroad Gee, Ycee, Zlatan, Azanti, Odumodublvck, and others. Throughout the YPSZN3 project, PsychoYP brings his progressive and assorted sound that cuts across rap, trap, grime, drill, and R&B music to the forefront, while showcasing his excellent lyrical dexterity, infectious multi-layered flow, and creative sensibilities.

The "Intro" and "Sinner" set this off nicely with a somber and moody soundscape that allows YP to explore self-doubts, discovery, and the power of determination against all the odds. His verses are candid and the flows are sharp while the melodic chorus gives listeners a glimpse into his singing prowess. He flips the script with the upbeat "Drop That Shit" which samples a classic James Brown sample into a punchy drill jam.

On here, YP is in his element and exudes pure unfiltered bravado alongside his fellow cohorts Swift and Kiiwii who drop equally gripping verses. Fast-rising Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck shows up on the cinematic trap cut "Bando Diaries" and lends his distinct gruff vocals that complement YP's chilled flow. This is followed by the feel-good vibes of "Ok Alright" and the previously released gritty single "IC3" featuring Zilla Oaks and Backroad Gee.  YP goes for a solo mission on "Silent Mode", and calls Ycee for a verbal assist on the bravado-filled "Nigerian Man" and gets extremely candid on "Commitment Issues" where he reminds the ladies that being tied down is a no-no for him.

Other slamming cuts include the reflective "Put It In Stone", and the afropop party jam "Stronger" featuring Nigerian pop star Zlatan. The project closes off with "Scandalous" featuring Barry Jhay and "Dangerous World" with Odumodublvck and Azanti. The former has a moody and lush backdrop and sees YP flexing on the haters while the latter is a dark outlook on life and the numerous hurdles the trio has to face to survive.

The project is produced by an eclectic mix of frequent collaborators Jaylon (Mr. Eazi, Azanti, Chrystel), Malik Bawa and Johnson IP, Apex Village in-house production team Thrill MAX and The HyPRactive Kid, and revered UK producers RJay (RV, Stardom, Tana) and Likkle Dotz (Headie One, Central Cee, Unknown T).
