Indulge in the new coastal-inspired collaboration from Sea Glass and Benét

Sea Glass forms the musical project of New York-based multidisciplinary Jake Muskat. Returning to the scene alongside Benét from Richmond, Virginia, the duo unite their creativity with their new single “(i have jokes) If You Wanna Hear One.”

Originating as a lullaby when Muskat’s son was born, the tender acoustic tones soon developed into the dreamy, coastal-inspired pop tune that finds a home amongst sun-stroked sand and crashing waves.

He shares, “I liked the idea so much I decided to record it, but wanted to make it fit my production style. As I worked on it, I was more excited by its progress than anything else at the time. It took me 6 months of searching for a good top line when Benét offered to write on it. Their playful melody and lyrics just smashed the demo death loop I was in into smithereens. It came together very quickly from there. I had my close friend Jared Saltiel add live drums and the whole thing gelled together perfectly.”

Feeding the perfect blend of escapism and excitement into his latest release, Sea Glass explores ethereal melodies that have the capability of transporting listeners, no matter the time of year. With beach-inspired basslines and tranquility feeding its way throughout,  “(i have jokes) If You Wanna Hear One” transcends into a realm of feel-good. The duo’s creativity and passion for serenity set them apart.
