Austin's post punk meets synth pop trio Urban Heat have enlisted the help of Los Angeles producer/singer/songwriter Party Nails for "Have You Ever?." The track is a new rework of the single shared early this year off of their Wellness EP.

With "Have You Ever?" Urban Heat taps into the existential narrative of questioning all aspects of life, even those that you have been taught. Sometimes this questioning can be disorienting and the truth impossible to find and Urban Heat so brilliantly touches upon this theme in their latest single.

With lyrics including, "Have you ever seen the face of God / till you turn around and wonder what it was?/ Or have you ever thought you've seen the light /till you turned around and you felt the knife?," Urban Heat explores life's contradictions and the thirst for knowledge and certainty. Sonically, "Have You Ever?" is an explosive track drenched with moody synths, heightened vocal melodies and clashing electronic beats.

Rock, synth pop and new wave sonics are all blended together for a hard hitting and intoxicating earworm. Party Nails adds her passionate and vivacious vocals making for a dynamic listen. The accompanying visuals show Urban Heat and Party Nails performing against hues of bright pink, neon blue and purple, giving the audience a look into their thrilling live show.

Urban Heat are members Jonathan Horstmann, Kevin Naquin and Paxel Foley. The three shared their 2022 six song EP Wellness to critical acclaim. The EP is centered around themes such as navigating mental health crises, loneliness, and current events. The band have graced the stages at Austin City Limits, SXSW and Freakout Fest to name a few. Check out "Have You Ever?" now and remember, don't overthink too much.
