Rising talent Matthew Joseph shares lead single “Waiting,” from from debut EP POV, offering upan intoxicating bubblegum pop number highlighting his vocal range, infused with nostalgia in its retro 2000s throwback vibe.

A fun production that’s tongue-in-cheek and passionate in equal parts, the track is as just its name suggests about waiting – but leaving it open to interpretation on what exactly we’re waiting for.

Describing it as a track with “lots of hidden meanings,” Joseph explains, “I wrote the lyrics of this song about my POV of constantly waiting for my boyfriend. I wrote a draft of 'waiting' in 2020 about waiting for my big music industry break! then another for waiting for a proposal. Waiting for what is open for interpretation.”

An enticing glimpse at what’s to come on his EP, the track sees Joseph embrace his sonic potential as he carries us back into a golden era of pop with notes of Backstreet Boys, Five, Blue and so many more peeking through even as this rising star embeds his individual passion-fuelled musicality into it.

A full-time makeup artist and model who re-ignited his life-long passion for music and performing back in 2017, Matthew Joseph who dropped his first official release in 2019 has gone from strength to strength with highly catchy artistry launching closer towards a goal of becoming a global phenomenon.
