Berlin-born and now LA-based producers Robot Koch and Julien Marchal have released a new bass heavy and hypnotic remix of his 2019 release “Movement I”. Remixed by Birds Of The West, the new remix boasts a fresh transcendent tilt to the elements underpinning the tracks original version. It's a track that beautifully blends the best parts of ambient music and Lo-Fi Hip Hop in a delicately poised composition.
The original of the track stemmed out of creative dabbling, spurred by a recent stateside gig, he writes “Movement I’ was first created when Julien was visiting me in LA a few years ago,” Koch explains. “We played a show together and had a session on the piano the next morning where we captured some ideas, including this one”. With a reimagined approach, the California-hailing producer reconfiguration drifting keys and waiflike vocal samples to generate a glistening soundtrack of synths.
