Described by BBC Introducing as 'the Midlands' answer to Dua Lipa', Rheo Uno is treading her own path fiercely and without looking back.
Rheo's vocal tone is in a league of its own on her new single "Don't Wanna Be In Love (DWBIL)", produced with a huge flick of artistic flair and pulling inspiration from 90s dance pop whilst adding in a hefty dose of slapping, groovy bass. Her voice is raw and immediately impressive, best described as the love child of Becky Hill and Dua Lipa, with low mellow tones and husky harmonics creeping through. The new track is guaranteed to get you up and moving and feeling empowered, and Rheo's message is as refreshing as it gets.
Rheo shares: “It’s about breaking free and living your best life, escaping a controlling partner and being true to your self.
For the first time, I can actually say I am happy with my sound, it’s who I am, not who I think I should be. I think this new sound I’ve been working on is bouncy and fresh, the fact I can sit and listen to myself on repeat is unheard of so it’s safe to say I’m loving the way these new tracks are sounding.”
Rheo's soulful sound has already caught the attention of UK tastemakers, and it's only a matter of time before she conquers the world.
