James Vickery and Kojey Radical team up for “With U”

Uk singer/ songwriter James Vickery returns with another single, titled "With U", shortly after releasing his comeback release "The Reason" some months back. The new single sees him in contemplative mode as he makes a hard decision to move on from what he loves.

Inspired by the difficult prospective decision to move to America to progress his career, James uses the song as a metaphor for his current situation. Over a subtle and warm production, he muses on the love of his life and how his time is fleeting, and he tries to savour each passing moment with her. Reassuring her of his true love he sings "Follow me to new heights/ With you I'm always here". Joining him for the ride is Mercury Prize 2022 shortlisted artist Kojey Radical who adds a heartrending verse with his gruff vocals and mellow flow.

James explains further that "This song is about me having to make that move, but torn about leaving the one closest to me. It’s a constant troubling issue in my life right now so writing it down on a page made the whole situation very therapeutic for me.”

Having headlined London's Lafayette last year and supported Sinead Harnett on her recent UK tour, James Vickery will also be supporting Sabrina Claudio on her UK and European tour dates later this Autumn.
