16-year-old, Cleveland-based rapper FTL Jaii releases his opulent new single “Kim K” featuring fellow Cleveland native Ezri.
Produced by Loko La’Flare, the rap single samples lavish, texturally smooth beats over melancholy metronomes to create a decadent and dark atmosphere. Even though FTL Jaii is only 16, the rapper emerges with clear-cut, poised flow, and striking individuality as he narrates his self-made success story on “Kim K”. Directed by Joni Spielberg, the music video chronicles FTL Jaii and Ezri’s journey through the back alley bends and dim-lit stairwells of a dark cityscape. FTL Jaii is a proud Cleveland native. The acronym FTL stands for “from the land” in reference to his hometown.
