North Carolina born and bred songwriter HeartMouth shares his third single of the year off of SoCal Records. Called "I Know You Know (Wrapped Around Your Finger)," the explosive new track is accompanied by an equally enthralling music video.
In “I Know You Know (Wrapped Around Your Finger)," HeartMouth explores how confusing it can be to fall for someone who might not be the right one for you. Sometimes it is difficult to control our feelings and emotions and with “I Know You Know (Wrapped Around Your Finger)," HeartMouth shares that all too relatable feeling of being so in lust with someone that you are at their every whim.
Lyrics including, "I have been thinking about you for so long / I can't choose what is right or wrong / Oh my God I can feel myself slipping on you / Got me feeling so emotional," show HeartMouth knows he is in love deep and recognizes his loss of control in the situation.
Sonically, "I Know You Know (Wrapped Around Your Finger)" features heightened vocal melodies, bright pop rock soundscapes and shiny synths culminating into an upbeat musical affair that is full of fervor. The otherworldly pop blend weaves elements of electronic, rock and alt pop for an undeniably catchy tune. The accompanying visuals filmed, directed and edited by Garrett Barefoot show HeartMouth's dynamic live show with stage lights full of purple and blue hues.
HeartMouth is the project of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Casey Allen who began releasing music in 2020. The passionate singer has dealt with major health struggles including having his lung collapse several times. Despite the setbacks, Allen has made music a big part of his life not only with HeartMouth but also previously drumming for the band Embracing Goodbye and performing as one half of Season & Snare.
