Aimee Vant feels like "Trash"

After thrilling us with her brand of lofi/pop-infused sounds in her last release  "Airbnb", Emerging pop singer Aimee Vant  returns with new single "Trash". The record continues in the same vein of bright sounds, heartfelt and somewhat brooding subject matter that centers around the singer's fears and weaknesses. The musical production is quite layered and slowly builds up with time.

The sombre guitar plucks, cinematic strings and warm pads all add up to create a vivid sonic template that Aimee uses to paint her true feelings. Armed with her sultry and silky vocals, she exclaims in the refrain "I feel like trash all the time" while wishing away her insecurities in the verses. At the end of it all, she comes to the realization that she just has to find comfort in who she really is.

Vant is a rising pop singer who made her bones with her 2020 debut LP Everything Sucks. She admits that she is an old soul, an attribute shown in her music where she dives into profound content ranging from personal loss, the bittersweetness of adulthood to vulnerability and self-growth.
