Rising R&B act Journey Montana first made a splash on our radar with the steamy visuals for her single “Bad Girl," sometime last year and now she returns with a new single "Bad Decisions." The record sees her showing how bad decisions affect one's relationship adversely and might even alter the way people perceive you.
Over the moody and hip-hop-infused backdrop made of lush pads and rich keys, she puts her foot down and cuts off a cheating partner who has become recalcitrant in his ways. Far from being a sob story, Journey embodies the spirit of a woman who is moving on to better things and leaving toxic people in the past. Her performance is quite sultry and her somewhat hushed vocals do cut through the mix and provide a much-needed alluring aesthetic for this heartfelt tune.
The teaser which dropped on TikTok already gave her some buzz and her fans clamoured for her to release it immediately and even threw a release pop-up party which catered to her fans from the TV Show All American (where she plays the character named Jenn). The visual follows Journey as she confronts her boyfriend about some saucy pictures and messages she discovered on his phone. The visual slowly moves to a blend of slow-cut scenes and performance shots of the young artist in her element.
