Soulful progressive pop singer/ songwriter Brenda Carsey has just unveiled her latest single. Entitled "I'm Sorry", the introspective track is the third single off of her upcoming album Cognizance.

"I'm Sorry" is a heartfelt apology for causing pain to someone you love. Brenda Carsey takes a hard look at herself, and the ways in which she messed up. With lyrics including, "Oh Lord, please help me to be / My best self / Release all this stubbornness inside of me / I’m sorry for the words I said /I’m working hard to change / I’m trying to rearrange my mind," Brenda Carsey is ready to evaluate herself and make the changes needed to become a better person.

"I'm Sorry" begins with emotive acoustic guitar chords soon accompanied by Brenda's folk inspired soul drenched vocals. Moody slide guitar riffs glide over captivating melodies full of regret. With "I'm Sorry", the Los Angeles based songwriter effortlessly blends folk, pop, Americana and soul for a genre defying unique sound that is enchanting as it is stirring.

Brenda Carsey is not only a songwriter but also a multi-instrumentalist as well as a producer. Beginning her musical journey at the young age of five, the singer has performed in choirs, marching bands, orchestras and even cabaret shows. Often touring around the U.S., Brenda Carsey has further leant her musical talents to shows including The Voice, Better Call Saul and Babysitter's Club to name a few. Take a listen to "I'm Sorry" now and remember to apologize when you are wrong.
