Lagos-based rising musician Zinoleesky has been on a meteoric rise since his break-out hit "Kilofeshe" and is now a leading star in the afrobeats new class of 2022. Signed to Naira Marley’s record label, Marlian Music, in 2019 and with a debut EP in 2020, he is now back with a new single titled "Call of Duty".
The sun-kissed dance floor filler is a brilliant mesh of afrobeats, amapiano and electronic dance music, in a way that only Zinoleesky can deliver, which is why the Lagos-based artist and musician is revered as one of the frontrunners and trailblazers of the exciting new afropiano subgenre that is taking over the continent with its lush mix of afrobeats and amapiano. Over the hypnotic groove made up of warm basslines, rich guitar plucks and warm keys, the singer muses on the love he has for the female gender and the ups and downs that come with forming new bonds. As the song title suggests, Zinoleesky has fused his passion for gaming and women together on one record, and as the fast-rising Gen Z talent puts it, “I like girls, I like gaming so I made a song about what I like”.
"Call Of Duty" continues the hot streak that Zinoleesky has been on all year, as he gears towards the release of his sophomore EP coming this autumn.
