Veteran Boston, Ma lyricist V Knuckles has been doing his thing for decades as 1/2 of NBS (Natural Born Spitters) alongside his cousin E-Flash. The duo dropped several mixtapes and projects in the mid-2010s and now V Knuckles is venturing on a solo mission as he drops his debut album, Winter Warfare. The 15-track body of work feature names like Millyz, Fredro Starr, Slaine, Termanology, Reks, Ali Vegas and more. Now he returns with the visual for "Earl Simmons". If you have an inkling of what the title is, you are correct as Knuckles pay huge tributes to the late great DMX who unfortunately passed away early last year. Backed by the pounding and anthemic backdrop crafted by veteran producer Luka Miliano, V Knuckles channels the energy of Dog Man X himself and muses on the virtues of loyalty in a world where people sell their souls for pieces of silver.
The accompanying visual directed by D Gomez Films is also inspired by DMX. From the use of scary Pitbulls, chains and padlocks and a seamless shot of performances from Knuckles himself. In summer, V pays homage to one of his favourite artists with the same energy and aura X provided and is sure to capture real Hip-Hop fans.
