Los Angeles based singer/songwriter, actress and model Hunter crafts soulful pop music with heart. Her latest single is called "Closer" and it is off of her debut EP set for release later next month.
With "Closer", Hunter creates a bubbly, upbeat and happy song all about falling for a new crush. She tells her interest that she knows they like her and she likes them so it is time to get closer. With lyrics including, "I'm watching you watching me like I'm on TV / I play cool but I like everything I see / no need to fight it we got that chemistry", Hunter is ready for that crush to become a reality.
Sonically. "Closer" begins with emotive acoustic guitar chords soon culminating into Hunter's signature honeyed-vocals. Funk-fueled basslines glide under cinematic synths and sprinkling keys, making for an intoxicating listen. The single was produced by acclaimed producers John Alagia (John Mayer, Sarah Bareilles) and Jesse Siebenberg (Lady Gaga, Lukas Nelson). In the accompanying fun-loving and silly visuals, Hunter is seen trying to impress her little dog while simultaneously ignoring the advances of various men who are trying to impress her. Hunter began performing at the young age of ten in her hometown in Montana. At the age of eighteen, Hunter moved to Los Angeles, and began studying music full time and further found a career in acting and modeling.
