Chi-town-based production duo Andy Holbrook and Martin Detrois, a.k.a Le Shake, are the genre-bending two-some who caught our attention some years back with their energetic funk-pop offering titled "Blessing". The track was from their first EP together, and now they return with something fresh and exciting. Their new release "Shooting Star" is a French pop-infused summer jam that oozes nostalgia, warmth and pure brightness from start to finish. The record starts off with lush synth stabs, and slowly builds into a bouncy, retro-tinged party jam ripe with energetic drums, and warm arpeggios all underpinned by the pronounced talk box vocal performance.
Overall "Shooting Star" aims to liven up the party and the duo brings all their expertise to the boards, bridging the old and new with this splendid offering.
