California musician Hunter Heflin explores first date feels on R&B and pop-infused track “Coincide,” which brings rich vocals together with an atmospheric soundscape of soaring synths, powerful bass and slick drum beats seamlessly interwoven by seductive lyricism.
Taken from his forthcoming EP It’s Good To See You, Too, “Coincide” is an enchanting number on the moments after a date, at a girl’s doorstep, with butterflies swirling in your stomach as an overflow of thoughts fill your head about how the rest of the night will unfold.
Delving into the message of the rosy track, Heflin says, “I wanted to flip the script and write about a guy (me) who wants to stay over and make breakfast instead of leaving and never texting again. This song's power comes from that unique perspective, one that up until now, didn't have an identifiable voice. Now it does!”
Diving headfirst into his passion for music and his penchant for producing enticing beats, Hunter Heflin allowed music to become his career and life during his junior year studying at the University of Pennsylvania. Quickly and effectively crafting a space for himself with his self-reflective yet relatable artistry, “Coincide” leaves us for what Heflin will do next – as sets himself up for further ascent with a charismatic show of emotions from heartfelt love to shattering grief on his upcoming project.
