LESS KILLJOY takes her experimentalism to new heights in “Palm Trees”

Blending euphoric tales of human connection with intimate narratives and ecstatic vocal energy, LESS KILLJOY is blasting into the alternative scene, bringing her unstoppable energy to life in her debut release ”Palm Trees.”

She’s always been a mold-breaker, with a genreless approach that continues to shape her likening musical persona. LESS KILLJOY offers listeners a narrative like no other as she confesses, “I hope my music will speak for itself, because for real, that’s the only way I know how to express myself and interact with humans and there’s a lot I want to say.”

Her unapologetic approach to conformity sees her experimentalism thrive, describing her music quite honestly as “alt-hop, lo-fi, shoegaze, indie, punk.” Raised on the music of Nirvana, No Doubt, Rihanna and Paramore, her diverse musical heritage feeds into the inspirations behind her latest release. She truly scopes out the beauty in the everyday, explaining “I just try to find stories and beauty in everything. Photography and film inspire me just as much as music does.”

Sitting atop dazzling synthesizers, grungy rhythms and a bustling bassline, her echoing vocal energy radiates into a sound of her own in “Palm Trees.” Offering a truly unapologetic exploration into themes of self-evaluation and acceptance, she says, “I want people that listen, to somehow feel like they’re being seen and accepted for exactly who they are.”

Her fearless approach to composition has seen LESS KILLJOY’s resonance thrive. Her raw honesty and fondness for inclusivity continue to develop ahead of her highly anticipated EP Pink Grenade, which will see LESS KILLJOY bring her ecstatic persona full circle.
