Underground rapper Taye Bans teams up with fellow Pittsburgh rapper Fedd The God on latest release, “Blow It.” The two artists dish up mellow verses that flow casually over the beat’s rhythm. Bans vocalizes the infectious hook with a hypnotic charisma as he says, “Throw a hundred in the air I blow it!”
“Blow It” has a smooth hip-hop beat with a harmonious R&B sound. The melody is light and airy with subtle bass and claps. The sound of a money counter is present in the background. Bans toggles between slight auto-tuned vocals and structured raps. Fedd the God jumps on the beat with almost a whisper in his voice. He spits with every drop of the bass. He raps, “She asks me who I’m with, I’m with Taye so baby bring a friend.”
Taye Bans is the newest up and coming artist out of the Pittsburgh rap scene. Collaborating with the local talent and cultivating a following on social media, the rapper is trying to make a name for himself in the industry. As he continues to hone his sound, Taye Bans is an emerging act to keep on the radar.
