Amal Fashanu is the daughter of former footballer John Fashanu and Spanish model Marisol Acuna. She is an acclaimed journalist having worked for outlets such as BBC News, Sky News, The Huffington Post, and The Guardian amongst others. She is also the founder of The Justin Fashanu Foundation and  Black Heart Label, a clothing brand designed to promote activism through fashion.

Her latest release "Me & You," is a brilliant blend of Afrobeats, R&B, and Latin pop showing parallels between her English and Spanish roots. Armed with her honeyed and soothing vocal runs, Amal unapologetically details the love she has for her partner and pours copious amounts of adulation on the lucky guy. The song is the follow-up single from her previous tracks' debut singles "Detty December" and "Lean On Me."

The visual concept is a mix of performance shots, video calls, and a sexy photo shoot session. It starts with Amal at home while her man calls her from an undisclosed location, showing how much he misses her presence. The visual slowly moves to her getting ready for the day and showing her man different sides to her endearing personality.

"Me & You" is the third single of four as Amal gears up for her debut EP New Beginnings on 1st September.
